About Us

Keeping Heritage Alive, Right in the Heart of Connecticut

Welcome to the online home of the Greater New Haven Italian-American Heritage Committee. Whether you are a first-generation Italian-American tracing your family roots, an avid lover of world-class cuisine, or someone captivated by the deep-rooted history of our region, you have found your community.

New Haven’s vibrant Italian community isn’t just a part of the city’s history—it is the very fabric of it. From the historic enclaves of Wooster Square to the bustling modern businesses across the Elm City, our mission is to celebrate, preserve, and pass down the rich traditions, language, and cultural legacy that have shaped Greater New Haven for generations.
